Tessa
Charles trained as a graphic designer, but her interests are now concentrated
on the lino print, for the most part large scale.
Since 1998 she has had a studio in a barn next to Ness House which
is by the pier in the Orkney village of Longhope with views down the
bay to Scapa Flow.
While Orkney, the sea, and the wildlife of the islands inform much
of her work, her influences come from further afield, including Australia.
And despite the Orkney connection, Tessa retains her base in London,
where she is a member of Richmond Printmakers.
She exhibits in Orkney, and in London both on her own and with the
Printmakers. |
