| David
was born in 1958 in Falkirk. He moved to Ardentinny, Argyll in 1974.
Studying at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art from 1985 he graduated
with a BA (hons) in 1989. He exhibits widely in galleries in Glasgow,
central Scotland and the West coast. David works mainly in oils and
pastels, inspired by the Scottish landscape and marine subjects, piers
and villages of the Clyde. He has an interest in the effects of light
and shade brought about by the weather and changing seasons. David
paints in a loose, impressionistic style with thick application of
paint. |
