Pam Glennie

Born in Ayrshire and a graduate of Glasgow School of Art. After working as a designer and teacher for several years Pam now paints from her home studio in Argyll and exhibits her work regularly in Galleries and Art Events throughout Scotland.
Her preferred medium is soft pastel allowing an expressive, intuitive and free style and her individual ‘floating’ colour palette to emerge.
“Here in Argyll and the West Coast of Scotland, there is no shortage of inspiration. Land, Sea and Sky, Mountains and Lochs, all become starting points for paintings where details, line and form become simplified and colour becomes my focus and obsession. Its’ a wonderful way in which to engage with the landscape, it’s transient preciousness”.
Selected to exhibit a the 2007, 2008 and 2009 Paisley Art Institute Annual Exhibitions and awarded the Small Painting Prize in her first year of selection. Christian Aid Art Prize 2008.
