All Fired Up

Aldona Juska has created a unique range of art out of scrap steel and copper.
Recently described in the Scotsman as the most promising undiscovered artist she is building a following within the gallery and architectural design community.
Building a range of increasingly quirky animals into her design range the mainstay of her work is botanical art from single stems to large complex pieces combined together to produce candelabras.
She has been invited to exhibit in several European cities most recently Munich and Florence.

Aldona is Yorkshire born of Lithuanian descent and has spent most of her life either in Australia or America working as a librarian. However, living in Los Angeles she had opportunities to work with Mexican blacksmiths and discovered her passion for design and metal work.
Upon returning to the UK she took a college course in creative metal art and started welding for herself in her studio in Edinburgh in 2002.

Aldona specializes in Botanical Art sculptures and jewellery. She produces genuinely innovative work that is affordable, colourful, fun and lively with movement and attitude. She achieves a delicacy of form, and warmth of burnished colour and produces, highly unusual jewellery, interior accessories and free standing sculptures.

All articles are made from recycled materials (copper, brass and steel) and range from flowers, animals, wedding table art(candelabras and place settings) to jewellery.
Each piece is unique and will vary slightly each time it is made.
