Kate Philp

Kate
was born in East Africa and brought up in Scotland. She now lives
in the Borders. She paints mostly in acrylic and watercolour and her
subject matter is varied. She enjoys the colour and creativity of
still- life but also paints landscapes and the Berwickshire and East
Lothian coastline. Her use of colour is both subtle and displays a
charming lightness of touch. She exhibits in Edinburgh, the Borders,
Berwickshire and London, where she has been shown at the Mall Galleries.
Her work has also been published by the Prime Arts Gallery in Bath,
who sponsored her on painting trip to Australia and New Zealand. She
has shown her work many times at the Atholl Gallery and we are very
pleased to invite her back.
