Thorny Little Devil
The inspiration for this piece was taken from the thorn of
a rose bush. The thorn is there to protect the delicate and
beautiful rose and yet it has a raw beauty of its own, as
captured here.

This bowl was made from an old up rooted oak tree
stump which had been sat in a forest for many years, I cut
the stump down the middle and hand carved then many hours
of sanding transformed it in to an amazing giant bowl.

Up the Swanney
This piece is inspired by the curving of a swan's
neck as it preens itself. However, depending on the observers'
viewpoint it can be construed as something altogether different,
its abstract form keeping the viewer curious.

Contour Bowl No.1
The shape and design for this bowl was inspired from
the rings inside of a tree, as I cut through the layers of
wood the rings are shown, the lines in the wood help to accentuate
the smooth sweeping curves and contours of this stunning piece.
